It’s official!
My new position at the Orlando Sentinel begins today. I am the Video Projects & Programming Editor.
Here is the official description of this newly created position:
“Sean Pitts is our new Video Projects & Programming Editor. Sean will take the lead on growing our live stream capabilities, curating and developing ongoing video franchises and help us achieve our 2014 goal of consistent, regularly programmed video content on the site. His team will also be responsible for increasing our development of non-traditional, innovative video content.
On Sean’s Video Projects & Programming team:
Videographer/Photographer Joe Burbank, who we’ll leverage for daily assignments, but will also lean on to grow our innovative video content.
Video Blogger Jon Busdeker, who’ll continue to grow his audience as our digital storyteller and online personality.
Video Artist Rich Pope who’ll unleash his creative talents on video, often through animated storytelling. Rich will also manage our in-video animations and work with our advertising and marketing colleagues on cross-departmental projects.
Video Editors Josh Cruey and Sarah Espedido who’ll not only edit, but also shoot in-house and from-the-field video. They’ll also have a big hand in our live stream and programming initiatives.
Two part-time Video Production Assistants that we’ll be moving quickly to hire for.”
