To kick off the month of April the Orlando Sentinel planned a week of live video streams that take place around Central Florida. Each day at noon viewers tuned in to see where we were and what reporter Jon Busdeker was up to.

Monday we visited the Central Florida Zoo and fed giraffes. Tuesday we explored the Orlando Science Center’s newest exhibit, ZOOM into nano. Wednesday we got our butts kicked by a MMA trainer at American Combat Club. For Throwback Thursday we went to Mt. Dora’s Museum of Speed. And finally, Friday we visited Allen’s Creamery in Windermere.

The most noteworthy thing about this week of live video is the equipment we used:

That’s right! We used an iPad as our camera, an iRig for audio, and a Sprint hotspot for internet access.
